PARC National Experienced Practitioner Tutorials

The PARC Experienced Practitioner Tutorials are a series of twelve two hour live online tutorials designed for candidates who are seeking registration via the Locally or Overseas Experienced Practitioner Assessment (EPA) pathway.  

The tutorials cover the areas of knowledge outlined in the National Standard of Competency for Architects (NSCA) that are the subject of the Experienced Practitioner Assessment interview. See below for outline of topics included.

There will also be opportunity to discuss submission requirements and a session on interview techniques. Participants will be provided with supplemental reading lists.

The Experienced Practitioner Assessment pathway to registration is open to candidates with a minimum of seven years post graduate experience.

The Local EPA is for candidates with an architectural degree from Australia. The Overseas EPA is for candidates with an architectural degree from outside Australia.

The PARC Experienced Practitioner Tutorials are also suitable for those preparing to apply for registration as an architect in Australia via one of the international Mutual Recognition Agreements established by the AACA.

The PARC Experienced Practitioner Tutorials may additionally be undertaken as CPD. Participation in the full season attracts a minimum of 22 formal CPD points. Completion of the supplemental reading attracts additional informal CPD points.

The PARC Experienced Practitioner Tutorials are suitable for candidates from any state or territory within Australia.  Local state and territory jurisdiction specific information is provided where needed to compliment the Australia-wide content.

Autumn 2025 Season

The National 2025 Autumn EP Tutorials are due to commence on Friday 13th December 2024. And run weekly on Fridays, with times as per the following:

  • ACT - Fridays - 10:00am to 12:00pm AEDT

  • NT - Fridays - 8:30am to 10:30am ACST

  • QLD - Fridays - 9:00am to 11:00am AEST

  • SA - Fridays - 9:30am to 11:30am ACDT

  • TAS - Fridays - 10:00am to 12:00pm AEDT

  • WA - Fridays - 7:00am to 9:00am AWST

Enrolments for Autumn will open at 1:00pm on Friday 22nd November 2024.

Winter 2025 Season

The National 2025 Winter EP Tutorials are due to commence on Friday 31st May 2025. And run weekly on Fridays, with times as per the following:

  • ACT - Fridays - 9:30am to 11:30am AEST

  • NT - Fridays - 9:00am to 11:00am ACST

  • QLD - Fridays - 9:30am to 11:30am AEST

  • SA - Fridays - 9:00am to 11:00am ACST

  • TAS - Fridays - 9:30am to 11:30am AEST

  • WA - Fridays - 7:30am to 9:30am AWST

Enrolments for Winter will open mid-May 2025.

Delivery Platform

The Tutorials are delivered using Zoom in a meeting format. Participants can ask questions at any time as per a typical face-to-face tutorial.

Participants can join the tutorials on any device equipped with a webcam and microphone however we recommend a device with a separate screen and keyboard. It is a security requirement for participants to have their webcam on.

 

Cost

 

The Tuition Fee for all twelve intensive tutorials is $1650.00 including GST.

Fees are payable in advance at the time of enrolment.  Places are allocated on a first-in-first-served basis.

 

Application
